Bounce him gently by the scruff and all four legs swing into a gallop. He keeps going as long as you keep the rhythm, and everyone in the room stops to watch. There is no motor and no battery in him, just four linked legs and a knack you pick up in about a minute.
He comes in two heights: 17.7 inches and 23.6 inches. The smaller one sits on a desk and gets picked up twenty times a day. The larger one is an armful, the one that gets carried around the house and taken to bed.
The outside is long-pile plush brushed the way real Highland cattle hang, with a shaggy fringe over the eyes, small horns and a stitched muzzle. This one has a white coat with dark brown horn patches, muzzle and hooves. The filling is PP cotton, packed evenly, so he holds his shape after a hundred bounces.
He ships vacuum packed and flat. Open the bag, pat him all over, give him an hour in the air, and he takes his full size back. The maker rates him 3 years and up.

Hold him by the scruff, between the shoulders, and drop your hand about an inch, again and again. His four legs are linked inside the body, so they swing forward together and he gallops on the spot. Most people find the rhythm inside a minute. A small side to side turn while you bounce helps him set off.
None at all. There is no motor, no battery door and no switch anywhere on him. The gallop comes from the linked legs inside the body and from the rhythm of your hand, nothing else. Nothing to charge, nothing to run out, and he behaves the same on the thousandth bounce as on the first.
That is how he travels. He is vacuum packed so he fits in a parcel, and he leaves the bag looking thin and folded. Lift him out, pat him all over, comb the coat with your fingers and stand him somewhere airy. He is back to full shape in a few hours.
Take the 17.7 inch if he is going to live on a desk: he is lighter, so he is the easier of the two to set running, and he gets picked up all day. Take the 23.6 inch if he is a present. He fills an arm, and the size is half the reaction when the bag comes open.
