Nursery drop-off, then the office, then the airport on Friday. You do not swap bags between them. It is the same bag all week, and it still zips shut.
The padded sleeve takes a 15.6 inch laptop and holds it flat with its own straps. Beside it goes the rest of the day: nappies and wipes in the zipped pocket, a change of clothes rolled into the bottom, two bottles standing in the side pockets, the snacks in the front where you can reach them one-handed.
You do not pack the work bag and then the baby bag. You pack one, and you are out the door.

The straps are 4 cm wide with padding running through them, which is what changes it. A narrow strap on a loaded bag cuts a line into your shoulder by the afternoon. These spread the weight. The bag itself is only about 450 g empty, so almost everything you feel is what you put in it.
The tote and a matching zipped pouch in the same quilted fabric, big enough for make-up, cables or a nappy change. Nothing to assemble, nothing to charge. The bag has a strap across the back that slides over a suitcase handle.
